Sig Sauer P320

$448.99

The Sig P320 is a great pistol and an alternative for Glock, XD, M&P.  For a Sig, it’s an entry-level gun and quite subpar compared to Sig’s legacy P-series. That said, this gun is reliable, accurate, and modular. As the Army’s newest sidearm, the P320 is a good choice for a first pistol and/or carry gun.

The P320 comes in different models and calibers. For gamers, the RX model is equipped with a factory red dot that looks promising. The Tacops Carry model is perfect for conceal carry with it’s full-length grip, compact slide, tall SIGLITE Night Sights, and 21-rd mags.

Glock 19X

$588.00

The Glock 19X has served as Glock’s first “crossover” pistol. It combines the grip length of the G17 with the frame and slide length of the G19, creating a pistol that can flex into multiple duty roles. It comes with a coyote brown frame and nPVD corrosion-resistant slide coating, ambidextrous slide stop levers, a lanyard loop, the Glock Marskman Barrel, and a flared magazine well. Those features, combined with a standard set of night sights and 3 magazines, make this Glock ready to go right out of the box.

FN 509 Tactical

$639.99

The FN 509 Tactical is based on the pistol FN submitted for the US Army Modular Handgun Trials. While it is very much like the standard 509, the Tactical model features an optics-ready slide that allows for the low-profile mounting of red dots. Also included are tritium night sights, with the rear sights sporting protective wings to help avoid any damage during hard use. Present is a 4.5-inch cold hammer-forged threaded barrel. Controls are fully ambidextrous and the 509 Tactical comes with one 17-round and one 24-round magazine. Like the base model the 509 Tactical shines as a full-size duty pistol.

Walther PDP

$450.99

“The Walther PDP is extremely well done. Whether you are a concealed carrier, home defender, or officer on the street, it is an excellent option. Its grip is superlative, the accuracy is very good, and I’ve only experienced a couple of issues I likely caused. In short, the gun is highly reliable in my mind. The controls are well-placed, and the trigger is superb for a striker-fired weapon.” – Sean Curtis

Steyr L9 A2

$685.99

The Steyr L9-A2 MF is the second generation of Steyr’s M-series of striker-fired, polymer-framed handguns. These pistols have a 17+1 capacity, a 4.5-inch barrel, and a fairly crisp trigger that breaks at around 4.5 pounds. Shooters will enjoy a very high grip and an extremely low bore axis thanks to the aggressive ergonomic choices and grip angle of the L9-A2. Trapezoidal sights, adjustable backstraps, adjustable palm swell panels, and a flared magwell are among the other features found on these guns. All of these features make for a very flat-shooting and soft-recoiling pistol that rides securely in the hand.

FN 509

$482.80

The FN 509 is designed to be a duty weapon. This striker-fired 9mm is a nice gun packed with small features that add up to a lot. From interchangeable backstraps to an accessory rail, this gun has enough going for it to justify the price. While not a budget option, it’s a mid-tier that offers reliability and smooth shooting.

The FN 509 is a polymer pistol with a weight of around 26 ounces and a length measuring 7.4 inches. It features a fixed 3-dot sight system with combat-style sights and a capacity of 17 rounds (or 10-round mags available for states that require that). The trigger pull comes in around 5.5 to 7.7 pounds and it feels smooth while shooting. The gun is ambidextrous right out of the box, great for those lefties! The FN is a nice pistol that is worth the money.

Sig Sauer P320 M18 Upgrades & Accessories

final verdict

The Sig P320 M18 is enjoying immense popularity thanks to its adoption by the US Military. Whether it should have one or not remains a hotly debated topic, but the gun is here to stay either way. The modular Fire Control Unit allows for new grip modules, slides, and all other manners of customization while keeping the same serial number. The bore axis is a little high, and the trigger isn’t the best, but it isn’t the worst either. Overall, most of the issues someone may or may not have with the M18 can be rectified by its huge aftermarket. It is a solid duty pistol that is proving to be popular even in the civilian market.
