The Springfield Armory Hellcat Pro Comp OSP features integrated holes in the top of the barrel and slide. When a round is fired, some of the spent gas diverts upward, reducing the muzzle rise and felt recoil.
While this is not a new concept, it is the first time it’s available on the Hellcat platform as an integrated feature rather than a threaded-on muzzle device.
This new pistol carries over the original Hellcat’s 3.7-inch barrel, adaptive grip texture, tritium front sight, and U-Notch rear sight. The optic-ready slide is milled for the Shield RMSc footprint.
If you prefer a manual thumb safety, that option is available.
There are three capacity options to choose from: one 15-round magazine and one 17-round magazine, two 15-round magazines, or two 10-round magazines.
You can now get standard models, integrally compensated models, and threaded barrel versions. Combined with the optics-ready slides, multiple magazine sizes, and various color options, the Hellcat Pro is quickly becoming one of the most customizable CCW pistols on the market.
Tragically, the Hellcat Pro Comp OSP isn’t available in FDE or the Echelon’s striking OD green, but Springfield has been dropping all kinds of new color options lately, so there’s hope.
Springfield Armory lists an MSRP of $699 for the Hellcat Pro Comp OSP.

The trigger is hard to like. Long uptake and rough on the index finger. Consistently shooting left by all 4 of us in my household. Other than that, a nice option for the money.
