I bought a Taurus G2c, my first hand gun. The first time at the range with my arthritis it was so difficult to chamber a round that I wondered if I should have bought a water gun! I was able to chamber a round and get one shot off. The next 10 rounds failed to load and then neither of the factory mags would seat.
Now I own a SW M&P 9 ez and it chambers, fires and still will seat a mag. Nuff said !!
I had been sitting on some government stimulus money and used it to pick up my first 556 AR-15 - a BCM 16” MLOK from a local shop. I live in WI and was happy to stimulate the local economy. Next may be my first CCW pistol. Was signed up for a CCW class last Nov at the local gun club but it was cancelled due to low enrollment. Really wish they’d have run it before the craziness ensued, but I’ll find another option.
I sent my much used .45 Colt Blackhawk to a gunsmith for a new barrel and some other work. Then I found out how long he'd have it... so I went to the gun shop in the closest town and ordered a spare 4 5/8" .45 cal. Blackhawk to use until then. The shop was crowded when I went to pick it up. The crowd was mostly non gun people gearing up for Armageddon.
I recently got my CCW permit and first hand gun(s) and shotgun due to the shitshow in a dumpster fire of a year. I Am also dabbling in prepping for the first time ever. You have been my go to firearm information resource. Nice interview BTW
