The Beretta APX Centurion is a continuation of the APX pistol series from Beretta. It comes in two models — a 9mm or .40 S&W — both striker-fired. Overall length measures 6.97 inches with a 3.7-inch barrel. Though no longer in production, the Centurion can still be found in the used market. It’s a decent CCW option for those that like a good mid-size gun.

Glock 19 is the most proven compact semi-automatic handgun on the market today. The VP9 features a light, premium trigger, customizable grips, ambidextrous controls, an extended Picatinny rail, and an advanced striker-fired slide. Price on the VP9 is also quite reasonable – competitive with Glocks. The VP9 comes with different configurations, available in multiple colors and mag counts. The recent variants of the gun features optics-ready slides, a normal mag release button, and 17-round mags.

The G3 by Taurus is a 9mm semi-auto full-size pistol, packing 17+1 rounds. It features steel sights and a 6-pound trigger. A Picatinny rail allows for mounting of some accessories. Overall, it measures 7.28 inches with a 4-inch barrel.
