Smith & Wesson has already given us compensated versions of the M&P9 M2.0 and M&P9 Shield. It was only a matter of time until the subcompact Bodyguard got the same treatment.
Now it’s here! The Smith & Wesson Performance Center Bodyguard 2.0 Carry Comp (gotta love S&W’s brevity) might be the brand’s most tame CCW pistol yet.

As with the existing Bodyguard 2.0, this new pistol is chambered for .380 ACP. It strikes a nice balance between manageable recoil and effective stopping power. You’ll have your choice of 10+1 capacity with the flush-fit magazine or 12+1 with the extended magazine.
A thumb safety is optional.
The new Carry Comp version is slightly longer (0.35 inches, to be exact) to make room for the compensator. This design is effective on the M&P9 M2.0 Compact Carry Comp, so it should be equally welcome here.

Smith & Wesson also touts aggressive slide serrations, reduced reciprocating mass, Performance Center-exclusive gray finish, and an Ameriglo night sight up front.
The factory iron sights look good, and they’re all you’ll get because the Bodyguard is not optic-ready.

If you’re sensitive to recoil or want a pistol that’s smaller than the average carry gun, this could be just what the doctor ordered.
Smith & Wesson lists an MSRP of $549 for the Performance Center Bodyguard 2.0 Carry Comp.
So, is a compensator worth replacing your current Bodyguard? If you don’t carry a Bodyguard, did this update win you over? Sound off!

Buyer beware alert!!
Do not buy the folding Smith & Wesson carbine!!
I have a friend , named Ken that recently bought one of them in 40 Cal... He took it to the range with one box of mag tech 40 Cal ammunition.. after about the 40th round the gun barrel completely exploded.... He called Smith & Wesson and they sent him a call tag... Smith & Wesson kept the gun for three months and kept stonewalling him... then they sent the gun back to the wrong address which delayed things even further... so when he finally got the gun back, he opened the box... inside was the completely destroyed weapon and a note... the note stated that they were not going to fix the gun because he was shooting overpressurized ammunition (on purpose).. KEN was shooting mag tech ammunition, which is softer loaded than most... DO NOT TRUST SMITH & WESSON PRODUCTS OR THEIR WARRANTIES!!.. They are not the Smith & Wesson of old since they moved to Tennessee!! ONCE AGAIN BUYER BEWARE!!...
