Most .22 LR pistols hold 10 rounds due to concerns about rimlocking. However, Taurus seems to have figured this problem out and created an ergonomic, great-shooting rimfire pistol with a capacity of 16 rounds. As with most Taurus products, it comes in at an attractive price point, and its features have put it ahead of many of the guns in its class.

“It feels great in hand, although we prefer a bit more aggressive grip. The slide starts off a little stiff…as does the magazine release…so make sure you can confidently rack it. And because it’s the more budget of Kahr’s offerings, there are some sharp corners in the ejection port and the front of the slide and some machining marks on the barrel. But again, as a budget 9mm for concealed carry, you have to expect some concessions. Overall, if you’re looking for a concealable single-stack 9mm at a great price, you can’t go wrong with the CW9.” – Eric Hung

The Mossberg Maverick 88 is the true everyman’s shotgun. It is affordable, reliable, durable, and is built on the design of one of the most proven shotguns in the world. This is the ultimate bang for your buck in the shotgun world and possibly one of the best deals in the firearms world as a whole.

“This is a very accurate and precise gun that’s consistent in its ability to hit your target. Contributing to its accuracy is the fact it’s easy to control, and you’re unlikely to flinch firing it. This gun feels excellent in the handle. The front and rear texturing is a nice touch, and the grip fits just right in the hand. The magazine release and slide lock are easy to reach and engage. All in all, it’s a little dated but still a good gun.” – Travis Pike

“As a gun frequently touted as a defensive option where revolvers are concerned, the Taurus Judge offers up an option for those looking to work around their farm or carry while out on hikes. With a few options in terms of calibers (.410, anyone?), this revolver is a good option for when there are critters around. Its trigger pull isn’t terrible for a revolver, and its large size helps mitigate that big recoil. Downside? Those will small hands or who are petite in size might struggle with some of the heavier models and large grips. And there are not a lot of aftermarket options here.” – Aden Tate

“Benelli’s M4 is what we would call a good Italian auto shotgun. It’s the best combat shotgun on the market and would do phenomenal in a home defense setup or tactical arena. This autoloader looks great, runs smooth, brings that cool factor we all like from our guns. Most importantly, you can trust your life to it.” – Johnny B.

“If you need a top tier CCW, the FN 503 needs to be in the consideration. With an outstanding trigger, great ergonomics, and coming in at a very reasonable price point — this is a gun that simply delivers.” – David Full Review
