I'm a Federally licensed dealer in Arizona. New York requires registration of a handgun and you are not allowed to personally transport a personal firearm into New York from out of state (unless you are a LEO, Federal Agent, or other exempted person). You can purchase and pay for the firearm from a state other than New York, but you can only purchase a firearm that is legal to possess in the state of New York. The law also requires you to have the firearm shipped from a Federally licensed firearms dealer in that state to a Federally licensed firearms dealer in New York. You can then go to the licensed firearms dealer in New York where your firearm was shipped, do the Federal and New York required paperwork, and then you can take delivery.

I’m a resident in New York City. I don’t have a right to carry a concealed firearm in one of the most violent cities in America! Is there a way that I can travel to a carry concealed firearm state and purchase one firearm for mainly home defense and feel at ease that I can protect my wife and home. I am a Marine Corps veteran and a former City Corrections Officer. I just don’t have the time enough served as a.N.Y.C.D.O.C. Officer. Am I able to travel to a particular state and purchase a firearm and pay for it!!!
