Like the Osight SE we reviewed, this one is an enclosed-emitter optic that offers a little more protection than an exposed emitter. I wouldn’t call it a hard-use duty optic, but it’ll at least keep lint off the emitter for you if you use this on your concealed carry gun.
It also retains the side-loading battery tray. This was a welcome upgrade over previous Osight optics, because changing CR1620 batteries is faster than recharging an internal battery pack. It also doesn’t require you to remove the optic (cough, cough, RMR) so there’s no need to check your zero afterward.
You’ll know when it’s time because the reticle will blink when the battery’s power level gets low.

This time, there’s no multi-reticle; Osight opted for a 6-MOA green dot. While I get the appeal of a multi-reticle, I’ve also had good results with a large dot. This size works well for close-quarters situations where speed takes priority over maximum precision.
If your pistol’s slide is cut for the RMSc footprint, the Osight SE will bolt right up – likely giving you an unobstructed view of your factory iron sights. Osight also includes an adapter plate for pistols that use the RMR footprint.

This optic comes with a wide array of mounting hardware, complete with a guide to help you find the right screws and torque specs for your pistol.
Olight lists an MSRP of $199.99 for the Osight SE 6-MOA green dot.
