The latest batch of pistol optics has us seeing green.
I’m not talking about envy or cash, I’m talking about the green reticles that are sweeping the market.
The latest entry is the Olight Osight SE Green, an enclosed emitter pistol optic for concealed carry – and it comes with some big changes for the brand.

Unlike the previous Osight SE we reviewed, this one comes with a simple 6-MOA green dot instead of a red multi-reticle. The idea is to provide a large but uncluttered aiming reference for concealed carriers.

There are 10 brightness settings: eight for daytime, and two that are night vision-compatible. There’s no automatic mode, so you get to or have to pick your setting, depending on your perspective.
After three minutes without moving, the optic will power down to conserve battery life. Motion detection will fire it back up.
When the battery gets low on power, the reticle will rapidly flash three times once per minute to let you know it’s time for a new battery. That’s pretty handy!

That battery is the other big change from the old Osight SE. Instead of using a rechargeable internal battery pack, this one takes one disposable CR1620 battery.
Ditching the rechargeable power source is big news for many gun owners who value the ability to swap batteries in seconds rather than plugging in an optic and taking it out of the fight for extended periods of time.

The RMSc mounting footprint is compatible with many popular carry pistols. It’ll bolt right up to the Glock 43X MOS and 48 MOS, Palmetto State Armory Micro Dagger, optic-ready Sig Sauer P365 models, the Springfield Hellcat and Hellcat Pro, Taurus GX4 Carry, and many more.
With a low deck height, you may be able to co-witness with your factory irons.

You can also order the Osight SE Green with an RMR adapter plate and mount it on a larger pistol.
Olight lists an MSRP of $199.99 for the Osight SE Green with introductory pricing of $149.99.
