For starters, the CLx 1-6x24 features a magnification range that’s perfect for .22 LR engagement distances. Whether you’re popping tin cans up close or hunting varmints at 100 yards, 1-6-power magnification will do the job.
The real magic, though, is in the new ACSS 22LR G2 reticle. The bullet-drop compensator, or BDC, provides elevation holds for 50 (the recommended zero distance), 75, 100, 125, 150, 175, and 200 yards.
Those stadia are designed to match the diameter of a standard clay pigeon, giving you quick, reliable ranging data. They’re bracketed by dots placed for use as 5-mile-per-hour wind holds.
All of this is predicated on 36- to 40-grain .22 LR ammo with a muzzle velocity of 1,000 to 1,200 feet per second. That should cover most of your bases.
