The much-lamented $200 tax stamp is dead, and that means the suppressor market is red hot.

In addition to the boost to existing business, new manufacturers are jumping into the game to help satisfy drastically increasing demand. One of those brands is EchoCore. The name is new, but the people behind it are not.

Today, let’s focus on the brand’s AR-15 suppressor, the EchoCore Sector 5.56.

Helical 3D-printed baffles and flow-through design minimize backpressure and felt recoil. A large internal volume keeps sound levels down, minimizes carbon buildup, and creates a deeper tone that some shooters prefer over a tinny ping!

A proprietary coating not only protects against the elements, but reduces the can’s visible and infrared signature.

Mounting options include HUB and standard 1/2x28 threads.

If you want to keep your AR-15’s overall length to a minimum, there’s also a compact Sector 5.56 that’s 5.11 inches long and weighs 13 ounces.

EchoCore lists an MSRP of $1,045 for the Sector 5.56, or $1,049 for the Sector 5.56 Compact.

The EchoCore team draws on serious industry experience. If past performance at B&T is any indicator, the new line of suppressors should be very good.

Other EchoCore suppressors include the Traverse 30, designed for the AR-10 and similar platforms; the LaTitude 30, designed for hunting rifles; and the versatile Radius 360, a modular system built for rifles, pistols, and rimfire plinkers.
