Hi,
Ran 100 rounds of 124 grain thru the demo H9 at the Humble TX Range USA. Innovative trigger that eventually people will like……but the rest of the gun is not representative of a DD weapon. Grip size, circumference, texture and thickness just not a good feel or comfortable at all. DD offers no adjustable back straps so this gun will not fit everybody. Even Wilson Combat has a system for adjusting the grip to ensure a comfortable and functional fit. Recoil system does not seemed to be tuned up for easy shooting. Mussel flip and recoil way too noticeable. Sights on demo gun were off but nights fiber optic sights with a U channel on the rear sight should be a standard feature. May need to wait awhile until owners and other demo folks feed back on desired changes. Yes I was primed to buy based on the other DD products I and my family own and are very happy with. Back burner now for a while.
Regards
.
Is there a 10rd mag version for those of us in a state where we can’t have more than 10 rounds per mag?
Shot the store sample H9 today at local gunstore in-store firing range (Ozark Armory).
Used Winchester 115gr. Target and Winchester 124gr. NATO ammo.
The pistol felt great in my hands and handled wonderfully! I normally shoot Glocks.
Very accurate! A great pistol shooting experience.
If the H9 also had a manual safety I would have immediately placed an order for one!
The ergonomics are good and the low bore axis combine to make for a good shooter. We're looking forward to some more in-depth testing. Stay tuned for the full review, we have one in our hands now!
Do we know when it will be available for purchase? Ready to go into debt for this one. Literally has my name on it.
Just stopped by my local dealer and it's already in the case, ready to go !!
Seriously considering.
They were available the day this article dropped. Most of the online retailers sold out pretty quickly but if you call around to local gun shops, you might find some.
I think it's a fantastic opportunity for both DD . As well as the public to own a fantastic firearm. I happen to own a original H9 . I think the platform offers a great pistol that can be expanded on!
Thanks Jim,
I missed out on firing an original so I can't compare it too much. Daniel Defense spent quite a bit of time refining this pistol from what we hear. They use the Hudson as a base, but have made changes to improve reliability and accuracy.
