A trip to SHOT Show wouldn’t be complete without stopping by the CZ booth. This year, that visit gave us a peek at one of the most interesting pistols in the brand’s lineup for 2025.
The updated CZ P-09 Nocturne is available in two sizes, and it comes ready for the optic and suppressor of your choosing.

Before we dig in, it’s worth pointing out a recent change in CZ’s product catalog. Gone is the P-07 – but in name only. The compact, hammer-fired pistol joined the P-09 family as the P-09 C (compact) alongside the P-09 F (full-size).

CZ announced the Nocturne series in 2024 as an upgrade to the existing P09 platform. Selling points included better grip texture and more of it, the ability to mount optics without an adapter plate, improved sights, and more ergonomic controls.
Those upgrades carry over to these new Nocturne pistols.
The most visible change we saw at SHOT Show 2025 was a threaded cold-hammer-forged barrel so you can run a suppressor.
You could get a suppressor-ready P-09 in the past, but it wasn’t optic-ready and that’s a non-starter for a lot of shooters these days – especially the ones who shoot suppressed.
It just made sense to combine an optic-compatible slide with the ability to shoot suppressed.

Other changes include Sig Sauer P320 iron sights that are not only more visible in low light but easier to swap out, thanks to healthy aftermarket support.
As before, you’ll get three backstrap inserts to find an optimal fit in your hands. You can also choose to set up your P-09 Nocturne with an interchangeable thumb safety or decocking lever.
The current Nocturne pistols on CZ’s website have an MSRP of $579. This year’s upgrades aren’t free.
CZ lists an MSRP of $629 for the P-09 C Nocturne and P-09 F Nocturne.
