We’re all for carrying a pistol for self-defense, and keeping firearms ready to protect your family in your home.

Unfortunately, you’ll face an uphill legal battle if it’s ever necessary – even if you do everything by the book.

CCW Safe is one of our favorite legal protection resources for armed citizens, and they just released the Armed Defender’s Dilemma course.

Best of all, it's free!

Variety of CCW Handguns
Buying one of these is just the beginning.

This course comes to you from Sean Vincent, a self-defense litigation expert. He’s joined by criminal defense attorney Don West and firearms instructor Steve Moses to provide comprehensive expertise on various self-defense topics.

"There are numerous resources available for individuals to learn how to carry and shoot a firearm," Vincent said in a company statement. "However, there are few that delve into the intricate legal aspects of self-defense. I've seen several good-natured, law-abiding citizens face serious legal jeopardy for using a firearm to protect themselves. Our goal with this series is to educate and empower armed defenders to make informed decisions."

CCW Safe

Two classes are currently available. Each month, CCW Safe is scheduled to release another on the company's YouTube channel. You’ll have time to take each class, process the information, and internalize the lessons you learned before moving onto the next one.

By the end of the Armed Defender’s Dilemma course, you’ll have completed 36 lessons – that’s three years of training.

The list is already live, so you know what you’re signing up for.

From what I can see, it looks like a lot of great information. Studying up on legal jargon and judicial proceedings isn’t as fun as shooting drills at the range, but it’s critically important.

CCW Safe plans start at $19 a month or $209 a year (a discount is available if you’re active or former military, law enforcement, or first responder). Not sure which one is right for you? Use the online Plan Advisor to find the best fit.

Practice drawing from a holster
By the time you reach for your pistol, you'd better understand the legal implications.
