Taurus is hitting the ground running with three different suppressors that cover most of the bases for recreational shooters.
The TX22 covers rimfire cartridges like .22 LR, .22 WMR, .17 HMR, and even 5.7x28. The TX9C is built for pistols chambered for 9mm, but that means it’s also good for rimfire ammo, .32 ACP and .380 ACP. The biggest can of the bunch is the TX30, rated for rifle cartridges from humble .300 Blk to punishing .300 Win Mag.
Oh, and they’re all rated for full auto. Let the fun begin.
Some of this durability comes from all-titanium construction and additive manufacturing (also known as 3D printing). This combination keeps the suppressors light without sacrificing strength.
The tradeoff is that you’ll probably want to invest in some kind of ultrasonic cleaner to prevent carbon buildup since you can’t take these apart and give them a good scrubbing.
All three cans look promising. They appear to be tough, flow-through design should keep rearward gas to a minimum, and all three provide a claimed 30 decibels in sound reduction.
Taurus lists an MSRP of $299 for the TTX22, and $599 for the TTX9C and TTX30.
