The EXO Pro Elite is independently tested by a NVLAP-accredited laboratory, so let’s start with the numbers.
These earmuffs offer ANSI-tested sound protection ratings of 28 SNR and 23 NRR. The bump in hearing protection comes from thicker, more effective padding around the ears.
The active electronic hearing protection reacts to gunshots in 0.5 milliseconds, which means harmful sound waves never hit your eardrums.
The digital component has also been improved over previous models, so the audio signal you’ll hear is cleaner and fuller. Expect less hiss, brighter treble, and fuller bass.
This is hearing protection for shooters by shooters. The power/volume dial is big and chunky, so you can operate them with gloves on. Improved PureSeal gel cushions and a padded headband make these earmuffs comfy enough to wear all day. The bottom portion has even been trimmed to make them more compatible with high-stocked rifles and shotguns.

ShellShock Protection lists an MSRP of $119 for the EXO PRO Elite. It’s available now by pre-order, and the first units are expected to ship on June 20, 2026.
