Editor’s Note: The FN 509 Compact Tactical is a smaller, more compact version of the FN 509 Tactical. With a 4.3-inch threaded barrel and a shorter grip with factory 12-round magazines, it's more concealable than its larger brethren while still packing a punch.

FINAL VERDICT
The FN 509 Compact Tactical offers all of the same capabilities as the full-size 509 Tactical, just in a smaller package. It can be tough to find a compact gun that is optics-ready, threaded, railed, and accepts full-size magazines - all from the factory. All of the included features in this form factor make the 509 Compact Tactical a compelling, if niche, choice for people looking to maximize the abilities of their concealed carry gun.
