If SHOT Show 2026 told us anything, it’s that we’re in for a lot of new suppressors and existing firearms in new colors this year.

In the case of the Henry Explorer Carbines, I’m actually pretty pleased with some visual variety.

Henry was kind enough to drop three new models and five different cartridge options all at once. Let’s see what the Explorer Carbines are all about!

The new Explorer series includes three different models. The H9 is chambered for .30-30 Win and .360 Buckhammer; the H10 is chambered for .45-70 Govt; and the H12 is chambered for .357 Mag/.38 Spl and .44 Mag/.44 Spl.

Each variant features the signature burnt bronze Cerakote, which adds a layer of protection. I think it looks fantastic, too.

Other features include a checkered walnut stock with a pistol grip, a rubber recoil pad, and a threaded 16.5-inch barrel.

The receiver is drilled and tapped for optics, but you can also run your Explorer Carbine with the factory open sights. The adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sight provides multiple aiming points, kind of like an old-school BDC reticle. The front sight is a brass bead that offers visual contrast in a variety of lighting conditions.

Henry Repeating Arms lists an MSRP of $1,430 for the Explorer Carbines.

Got your own ideas for new colors and themes? Henry Repeating Arms wants to hear them.

“We produced a burnt bronze lever-action as an experiment, and it immediately stood out,” Anthony Imperato, founder and CEO of Henry Repeating Arms, said in a company release. “The color evokes the landscapes of the American Southwest, which made the Explorer Carbine name a natural match. This is just the beginning, and we invite the Henry community to send us their ideas for other colors and regions that deserve their own spot in our catalog.”
