If you’re a firearm owner, your spidey senses should tingle every time you park your vehicle. Leaving unattended guns loose in your car is a great way to end up filing a police report.

That’s strong enough for a total payload of 450 pounds – 150 pounds in the drawer, and 300 pounds on the deck. There are tie-downs along the sides of the deck, so you can lash cargo in place.

Security options include keyed and combination locks.

Decked drawers are vehicle-specific, with no drilling or vehicle modification required. These weigh 125 pounds, though, so I recommend enlisting a buddy for the installation.

When you’re done, you’ll have a secure place to store smaller firearms, ammo, optics, and other essential shooting gear. Check the dimensions for your specific vehicle’s drawer system to see exactly what you can fit.

Right now, this system is available for 2010 to 2024 Toyota 4Runners, and 2021 to 2025 four-door Ford Broncos. Decked also has a suggestion form where you can tell them which vehicle you want to see supported next.

Decked also sells bins, lockable cases, and dividers in a bunch of colors so you can keep everything organized.

In 2024, the Associated Press reported that more than half of firearms reported stolen were taken from a vehicle, and the number of incidents had tripled within the past decade.

We can’t prevent every crime, but something like this system from Decked might be the layer of protection you need.
