FINAL VERDICT
For those who love the .45 ACP cartridge but want to stray away from 1911s, the PPQ 45 is worth a look. As with almost all Walther guns, you get superior ergonomics, an amazing trigger with a short reset, excellent build quality, and an accurate firearm. Reliability is great, and a 12-round capacity gives you a leg up over the venerable single-stack 1911. While the bore axis is a bit higher than I'd like, the gun shoots well and is easy to shoot fast. If you want a duty-ready gun in .45 ACP that is a bit more modern without being overly bulky, this is your ticket.
