By The Numbers

Accuracy
It is a small .380 with small sights. It isn't meant to be a target pistol, but it will put the rounds where you need them.
Reliability
The 42 enjoys the same outstanding reliability and reputation as its larger brethren.
Customization
While Glock enjoys a large aftermarket, much of that is for their larger guns. The 42 has upgrades but far less than something like the 19.
Ergonomics
Since it is thinner, it loses some of that standard blocky feeling of larger Glocks. It doesn't feel amazing in the hand but comfortable enough to shoot.

FINAL VERDICT

With the evolution of micro-compacts and higher capacity magazines in smaller guns, the Glock 42 has lost some of its appeal. However, the fact remains that this little guy is still a reliable, fairly easy-to-shoot, and concealable firearm. Its affordability and reliability will ensure that even in the face of stiff competition, there will still be a market for this concealable pistol from a brand with a reputation like Glock.
