Editor’s Note: The FNH FNS-9 is often overlooked, but it's a solid choice for people in the market for a CCW pistol. It's one of the few striker-fired, polymer-frame pistols with a manual safety, multiple backstop inserts help create an optical fit, and the accessory rail lets you mount a light. We'd love to see an optic-ready slide, and aftermarket support isn't great, but it's still a viable concealed carry or home defense platform.

The FNS-9 shoots at least as well as other compact pistols.
Reliability
We didn't have a single malfunction, even with cheap ammo.

Hopefully you like this pistol the way it is, because aftermarket support is limited.

This is a comfortable pistol to shoot, and FNH gives you multiple backstop inserts to match your hands.
Value
It's a good pistol at a decent price, but you can get more features for less elsewhere.
