  • Great ergonomics
  • Good accuracy
  • Optics-ready
  • Nicely sized overall
  • Recoil is a bit snappier due to the blowback design

Editor’s Note: The Beretta 80X Cheetah is a modernized version of Beretta's older 84 Cheetah line. Nice updates to the platform include improved ergonomics, an optics-ready slide, and an accessory rail. These guns are a bit bigger than most .380 ACP guns, and feel more substantial and easier to shoot. If you want something between a compact 9mm pistol and a pocket .380, the 80X Cheetah is that perfect in-between.

By The Numbers

Accuracy
The accuracy is really solid for a gun this size, even out to 50 yards. It may not be a tack-driver, but it is definitely accurate.
Reliability
This gun ran through all 550 rounds of our test ammo with zero malfunctions.
Customization
While there aren't a ton of Cheetah-specific accessories, you can still swap grips, add optics, and attach weapon lights.
Ergonomics
The ergonomics are excellent and the Cheetah feels great in the hand. This would get 5 stars if the controls were fully ambidextrous.
Value
While the gun is fairly expensive for a .380 ACP, the build quality, reliability, and accuracy are reflective of the slightly higher price.
