 **Osight R**
At the heart of the Osight R is a red multi-reticle that combines a 2-MOA dot for precise shot placement and a 65-MOA ring for fast, up-close engagements. There are nine daylight brightness settings and three night vision-compatible brightness settings, with a dedicated button to switch between the two – just like an **[Eotech](https://www.pewpewtactical.com/best-eotech-sight-models/)**!
Power comes from one CR2032 battery in a side tray compartment. The buttons look large enough, but they are all on the left side, so the placement isn’t ideal for left-handed shooters.
The big, square viewing window should give you an unobstructed view. Osight built in clear flip-down lens covers, and the front includes an anti-reflective device for duty use.
The Osight R has a Micro T1/T2 footprint and a Picatinny adapter. It comes standard with a 1.535-inch riser for lower-1/3 co-witness, and you can buy a 1.21-inch or 1.93-inch riser to place it higher or lower.
All-aluminum construction, an IPX8 waterproof rating, and a claimed 83,000-hour battery run time (assisted by auto-shutoff and shake-awake) bode well for the Osight R’s reliability.
OSight lists an MSRP of **$279.99 for the Osight R.** If you’re setting up a budget-friendly AR, AK, or PCC build, this might be a good optic to consider.
