# New Product Highlight: Derya Arms TM22 Fresh

What’s the best thing about rimfire plinking? It’s cheap! The **Derya Arms TM22 Fresh** taps into that sentiment with a low price and lots of fun features.
It is a Ruger 22 Charger killer? Definitely not – but it looks like a whole lot of fun if it’s able to run reliably. Read what we know so far, then weigh in with a comment and let us know if you think this is an easy impulse buy or maybe too good to be true.

The TM22 Flash is built on Derya’s TM22 platform. It’s a [**.22 LR**](https://www.pewpewtactical.com/best-22-lr-rimfire-ammo/) system with an AR-style user interface. Rather than the original rifle configuration, this pistol version comes with a 6.5-inch barrel and a folding brace.
It ships with one 10-round magazine and one 15-round mag. You can also get 25-round mags separately. They appear to be proprietary, which is kind of a bummer.
Lots of polymer components keep the total weight at just 3.2 pounds (and keep costs low). With the brace folded, the TM22 Fresh is 13.3 inches long.
There are QD points for a sling, and the handguard has M-LOK slots for accessories. Space is limited, though, so you’ll have to choose carefully.
 **Dead Air Mask**
The barrel is threaded for a [**suppressor**](https://www.pewpewtactical.com/best-22-rimfire-suppressors/) out of the box. Given [**how easy buying a can has gotten**](https://www.pewpewtactical.com/nfa-registration-unconstitutional/) recently, that seems like a mandatory upgrade. Throw on one of those and a [**cheap red dot**](https://www.pewpewtactical.com/best-cheap-red-dots-under-100/), and you’re in business.
To me, the TM22 Fresh screams, “backpack gun.” It looks like a great way to keep some plinking fun close at hand whenever you’re on a big piece of property or visiting the range.

Darya Arms lists an MSRP of **$249 for the TM22 Fresh.** That’s what you’d spend on a case of 9mm training ammo. If it runs reliably, it’ll be a hoot. If not, it could be frustrating.
If you take the plunge, come back and share your experience!
