Sig Sauer’s P320 has been quite the hit, right?
I mean, it’s scored a ton of contracts with police forces and has become the United States military’s sidearm of choice.
It’s Sig’s first polymer frame, striker-fired pistol, and it’s a sweet gun all around.
One of the best features is the fact it uses a modular chassis system called a fire control unit, or FCU. This FCU is the serialized portion of the firearm, and this allows the user to swap it between different frames and slides to effectively be another gun on demand.
What’s most interesting to me is that I can swap grip modules, mainly because it’s affordable to do so. For less than the price of a stippling job for your Glock, you can change the ergonomics of your pistol.

Why You Should Trust Us
I’ve spent a lifetime shooting that started in a family that hunted every season they legally could. From there, I joined the United States Marine Corps and spent five years as an infantryman. In the middle of my Marine Corps career, I began writing and have never stopped.
I love shooting, and I love guns — weird guns, old guns, new guns, tactical guns, and sporting guns. I’m a continual student of firearms, and I strive to educate myself to provide the best information possible to the readers of Pew Pew Tactical.
Why Swap Grip Modules?
First and foremost, you can swap grip modules to change the size of the firearm.
You can use any of Sig’s OEM models to create a different-sized gun, and some aftermarket grip modules take that even further.
You can also alter the ergonomics to change how the weapon handles and feels. Preferences around ergonomics are subjective, and we see that heavily with guns like the AR-15. So, it is only natural to apply the ability to change that to handguns as well.
I have different grip modules and frequently swap my FCU around depending on what I plan to do.
My P320 is my carry gun, my competition gun, my favorite training pistol, and my home defense gun. Why would I limit myself to one type of grip if I have the option of changing things up?
With this in mind, what are the best grip modules to outfit your P320?
Best P320 Grip Modules
1. Sig AXG
AXG stands for Alloy X-Series Grip Module. It’s a metal grip module that’s very much a throwback to Sig’s consistently excellent hammer-fired metal frame pistols.
The AXG gives you that classic Sig looks and feel of a hammer-fired gun P-series pistol but with the striker-fired experience. It is designed for use with compact and full-size slides.
Sig sells the AXG grip modules directly from the website, and they vary in finish and grip color. Mine is the Scorpion variant, which is their fancy way of saying it’s FDE with G-10 Scorpion grip panels.
The AXG grip module feels fantastic and features almost 360 degrees of grip texture to ensure it sticks in your hand.
A prominent beavertail greets the web of your hand and enables you to get a nice, high grip on the weapon, especially when you look at the trigger undercut.

While the AXG Module is pricey, this is the way to go if you want that classic metal P226 feel for your P320. The closest thing to a downside I can come up with is that it doesn’t work with my P320 ETS magazines.

2. Sig X-Series
Let’s say you see the value of polymer, but the OEM grip module doesn’t do it for you; then the X-Series of grip modules might be for you.
These grip modules improve the grip texture, and that texture goes all the way to the top of the module.
Sig’s X-Series modules come in full, compact, and carry sizes, which reflect their width, not their overall height. Mine is the compact X-Series grip module.
X-Series grip modules have a trigger guard undercut combined with an aggressive beavertail for that excellent high grip we all want. An integrated flared magwell is a nice touch that provides a slightly smoother reload.
It’s incredibly comfortable and a noticeable upgrade to the standard OEM option. Overall, these grip modules are slightly thinner and more rectangular than the stock grips.

A big downside to the X-Series is the somewhat short rail, which makes it tough to fit a full-sized weapon light on your weapon.
3. Sig LIMA320
The LIMA320 makes the list not because it’s the best grip module but because I think it’s a freaking excellent idea. I’m not saying it’s a lousy grip module, but the concept outshines its performance.
As a grip module, it’s a compact variant that bears a striking resemblance to the standard OEM model. There is no fancy grip texture or design, just a standard P320 grip module. It works for sure, but why is it on the list?
Well, the LIMA320 part. LIMA, phonetic for L, stands for Laser. The LIMA320 integrates a red or green laser into the grip module.
Activation occurs via a button on the grip and is automatically activated when the weapon meets its owner’s hand. No unique gizmos or buttons to press, grip, draw, and boom laser is on.

I’m not a colossal laser fan, but I can see the benefits. If you dig lasers, this is the best way to go. I love the idea of implementing accessories as part of the gun’s frame and would eventually see integrated lights or optics of a professional caliber — that’s the cyberpunk future I want.
4. Mirzon
Mirzon sounds a lot like a fancy beer, but in reality, it might be one of the most practical upgrades you can make to your P320.
The Mirzon grip revamps the P320 ergonomics in an ingenious way.
First, the grip texture has been rubberized. It’s sticky and clings to your hand with ease. My grip never slid, regardless of how long I was shooting. It even helped stabilize my one-handed shooting.
There was a noticeable reduction in recoil, making the weapon much easier to control. I assume the rubberized texture, combined with a high trigger guard undercut and unique beavertail, are the reasons behind this.

Instead of turning upwards, it curves downwards and wraps around the area between your thumb and trigger finger. It provides me with a tremendous grip and feels quite comfortable.
The grip comes in almost any color you can think of, and it’s compatible with the X series grip weights and magwells. It’s a fascinating aftermarket option for the P320 and is my go-to when I shoot steel challenge.
5. Amend2 S300
Wanna shrink your P320? Like, really shrink that bad boy down to a teeny tiny gun capable of deep carry? If so, this is the grip module for you!
It comes from Amend2, a company known primarily for making magazines. What they did here is shrink the P320 beyond subcompact size.
Instead of using the standard double-stack P320 mags, the module uses Sig P365 mags. This allows for a much smaller grip module while retaining 10 to 15 rounds of capacity.
I find the 12-round magazine with the +2 Mag Guts perfect in conjunction with this.
The Amend2 S300 grip gives me a P320 that’s only a hair bigger than my P365. However, I maintain my excellent Legion trigger, full-sized optic, and increased control.

It’s a solid design, and I don’t need to swap guns when I need something smaller — I just switch grip modules. I thought I might run into reliability issues, but it’s been problem-free for several hundred rounds.
6. Wilson Tactical Grip Module
Wilson Tactical made a name with their 1911s, but they’ve expanded into several other handgun platforms, including the P320.
They offer complete guns, but they also wisely sell their grip module. At around $60, it’s surprisingly affordable for a Wilson Tactical product.
Its ‘Starburst’ grip pattern looks good, sure, but it really feels fantastic in hand. This texture grips your hand but won’t rub you raw when carried close to the body.
Wilson Tactical reshaped the trigger guard for a higher grip and paired it with a 1911-style beavertail for a nice high grip. Wilson claims it’s the highest grip possible, and it’s tough to doubt them.
The grip module also features an integrated magwell that makes those reloads quicker and more intuitive. Inside the grip, there are slots for the Sig’s recoil-reducing tungsten weight kit.

If you like your holster, you can keep your holster! Seriously, it’s compatible with all standard holsters, and that’s a rather nice feature when swapping things up. At only $60, it’s a very affordable and well-done aftermarket grip module.
7. Fire Control Unit X01 PDW
Wildcard! The Fire Control Unit X01 PDW, or X01 for brevity-sake, isn’t your standard grip module.
Instead, it converts your P320 into a big braced PDW. You drop in your FCU and attach your slide, and you are good to go!
The futuristic outer shell gives you subgun-like handling in a small package with the firearm you already own.
Users can choose between a 1913 rail for attaching braces or a PDW-type collapsing brace. The X01 features HK-style charging handles, a massive optic rail, and accessory rails.
By definition, it’s still a handgun, but don’t expect to conceal this rig. Instead, you get more stability and less recoil to help enhance your ability to reach and touch a target at longer ranges.

It’s a sweet rig that flexes your P320 into a role more adept for those home defense tasks and fast, accurate follow-up shots. Is it wild? Yeah, but c’mon, the future is now!

Final Thoughts
I’m a little surprised there aren’t more aftermarket options for the P320. If someone designed a P320 grip module that accepted Glock mags, the world would explode — but we want all the options!
I think FCU designs like those used in Sig’s P320, P250, and P365 are the future. This system allows for a level of customization that has never been possible before, and the future seems even more promising.

I own numerous handguns. My Mirzon gripped P320 is definitely my favorite. Kinda like a well-worn baseball glove, it just fits my hand so well! And man does it shoot! Some of the credit goes to the Apex trigger, but the Mirzon grip is the soul of this gun. It shoots so well I call it my John Wick pistol lol!
